In the past few weeks, OnePlus has been busy pushing out updates to the OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3. First came OxygenOS 4.0, which was quickly followed with OxygenOS 4.0.1. We didn’t have to wait too long for the next update; OxygenOS version 4.0.2 is rolling out now.
OxygenOS version 4.0.2 is meant to address some of the bugs that users have been experiencing after updating to version 4.0.1. Wi-Fi connectivity issues, battery performance and problems with downloading apps from the Google Play Store were the main culprits for the quick update. OxygenOS version 4.0 was a bigger update which brought Android Nougat to the OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3. It added a redesigned notifications menu and settings menu, direct reply for notifications, multi-window support and improved customization.
Updates as big as OxygenOS 4.0 usually carry a few bugs with them and it takes a while to iron out the wrinkles. This might explain the two quick updates that followed OxygenOS 4.0, bringing us to OxygenOS 4.0.2.
Not everyone will get the update today
The OxygenOS version 4.0.2 update will roll out incrementally, meaning only a few users will receive the update today. A bulk of users should be receiving the update in the coming days.
